About

I’m a British freelance Factual Doc Writer, Director, Producer/Director, Edit Producer & Drama Doc Director.

 Over the past 20 years, I have:

  • scripted, produced, directed and edit produced a wide range of content, including investigative current affairs films, true crime drama docs and history, archaeology, travelogue and adventure shows.
  • made obs docs and actuality heavy programmes, interview and archive-led films and presenter-led shows.
  • used a wide range of kit, including cranes, dollies, hi-speed and motion control cameras; on helicopter and underwater shoots.

I trained as an actor at drama school and as a single camera director at BBC Elstree.

I’m a versatile writer with a background in television journalism.
 
I tell stories that are well structured, well told, and edge-of-the-seat.
 
I’m Hostile Environment trained (Centurion, 2014) and H&S (Mark Milsome Foundation, 2023) certified.
 
I’m the biological father to two British children and step-father to two Ukrainian children.
 
I’m a good Russian speaker with a full UK driving license and a current USA i-visa. 
 
I’ve made films for UK & international streamers, PSBs, cable & terrestrial channels including:
